On the 12th Day of Christmas, I knit for 'neath the tree...
12 winter beanies
11 small round scrubbies
10 cell phone cozies
9 pretty washcloths
8 warm toboggans
7 novelty scarves
6 pairs of mittens
5 Homespun shawls
4 baby socks
3 cat mats
2 felted purses
and an afghan that I'm keeping for me!
Well, I had to stretch a bit...I made the mittens LAST year...I only made one Homespun shawl, and only 5 cell phone cozies...and the afghan isn't quite finished, but it's the SPIRIT of the thing!
For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13

Other Things I Have Knitted
I learned to knit shortly after I got married 4 years ago, and for the first year or so I stuck with squares and rectangles. I'm happy to say I have branched out and tried lots of new stitches and methods and things. I still try to keep it simple though. I also try to take pictures of the stuff I knit now, since I give a lot of it away as gifts or just because.
Pictured above, beginning top left... a scarf I made for my cousin. I made on in the purple too. A poncho, made with Lion Brand Incredible. I ended up giving that to my cousin too.
A clown doll I made for my neice's first birthday, and a bunny finger puppet.
A baby hat for a girl...that one went to Chicago. A baby set- hat, mitts and booties...that one went to Texas. Mittens!! Those purple ones are mine and were the "guinea pig" pair. I made several more pairs in varying bright colors. They were made from Lion Brand Homespun yarn, which I am now using the leftovers to make a VERY colorful afghan. I'll post a pic of that later.
Next is a scarf made from some Trellis-like yarn. It turned out quite nice. That is still mine!
Dishcloths! I believe most of those were sold at Kolorful Kitchen. And finally, the hat band, modeled by Sarah.

Hats, Hats and More Hats!
I went on a hat-making binge for about 3 weeks back in September/October. I have piles of yarn and was looking for a quick, easy way to use some of it up. These are about half of the hats I made. The models are: Me, my neice, Delilah, my huband, Dave, my sister, Sarah, and our Brazilian statue. The hat that I'm wearing is the hat pattern from the book The Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting & Crocheting. The rest of the patterns came from yarn sites and people's blogs that I found through Knitting Pattern Central.
Another Knitter's Blog
I have seen quite a few blogs where people put up pictures of things they have knit, talk about knitting and sometimes give instructions for stuff. Since I'm a knit-a-holic too, I thought I would start my own.
